Forget all those lawyer jokes ...
I know this is the "legal blog watch," but it's hard not to write about Katrina this week. And after a post about looting, I wanted to write about the great things the legal community is doing. Mailing lists of law professor types have been flooded with queries about whether all the professors at Tulane and Loyola are OK -- they are. I just received a note from Stanford Law School's Dean Larry Kramer letting us know that we -- along with practically every other law school in the nation -- have offered to take in five 3L students who are from our area, giving them a tuition-free visit for the fall semester, so hopefully, they'll be able to return to their own schools in January and graduate on time. And Eric Muller set up blogs for the Tulane and Loyola-New Orleans Law School communities to use. Go read them.
