Law Prof Blogger Moves to the New York Times
If you're still skeptical that blogging can put you on the national stage, this story should make you reconsider. Blawg.com's Bill Gratsch passes on this news that Wayne State Law School Professor Steven Davidoff of the M&A Law Profs Blog will assume the identity of the Deal Prof and be blogging full time at Deal Book section of the New York Times. In addition to the likely increased exposure, another benefit that Davidoff will realize is the expanded resources of (as Davidoff puts it) "those great N.Y. Times deal reporters."
Gratsch suggests that while it's possible that Davidoff could have landed the same gig without a blog, he concludes, it is more likely that Davidoff's blog catalyzed his trip to the big-time. Besides Instapundit Professor Glenn Reynolds, who are some other examples of law professors or lawyers who've nabbed a writing opportunity in a non-legal publication through blogging?
