Strange But True, Legal Edition

These kinds of stories seem to travel in packs. Then again, it is a full moon. Some items from the week's news:

• Non-lawyer disbarred by federal court. Problem was, he should never have been barred in the first place.
• Report details court officer's trysts. Even the judge's chambers wasn't out of bounds.
• Man banned from girlfriend's home after noisy sex. The British court acted on neighbors' complaints of thumping music, banging headboards and loud obscenities.
• Prison system set to allow e-mail for convicts. But Twitter is definitely out, authorities say.
• My client didn't have any clout to abuse. That was a Boston lawyer's response to an ethics ruling that a city official abused his clout in trying to get a parking company to pay for a scratch on his car.
• Ky. sheriff picks up wrong man in Calif. But at least he realized his mistake after driving the 4,100 miles back to Kentucky.
• Robber locks keys in getaway car. Hey, we've all done it.
• Solar tie charges your cell phone. Assuming you ever get out of the office and into the sunlight.
• Minister gets jail for stealing flock's identities. Thereby cutting the list of people you can trust to zero.
