Everything You Need to Know to Learn About Succeeding as an Associate

With summer over, law students return to school and new grads embark on their first legal job, many as law firm associates.  And in honor of that first job, the theme of this month's issue of Complete Lawyer is "The Brave New World of Associates."  The issue includes at least a dozen articles on topics like professional development and finding meaning in law firm work, and even an article that I authored, entitled "Solos Know Strategies Associates Need To Learn."

Of course, if you're still in the mood for more advice on succeeding as an associate after you've read all of this, you might try Drug and Device Law co-blogger Mark  Herrmann's "Curmudgeon's Guide to Practicing Law," which still preempts the field of "how to succeed" guides for associates.
