Podcast Potpourri
For those of you who can thank Christopher Columbus for an extra day off this weekend, no doubt you'll want to load up your iPods with an assortment of legal podcasts to occupy yourself and your family on that long drive to wherever. If you're wondering where to start, Law.com's Legal Technology just posted my article, "Ten Legal Podcasts to Keep You Informed," an update to my 2005 piece, "2005: Year of the Podcast."
Given that five of the 10 podcasts I highlighted in 2005 are no longer active and that new programs have made their debuts, this list is much different than its predecessor.
And while I am engaged in shameless self-promotion, let me point you to this week's episode of our weekly legal-affairs podcast Lawyer2Lawyer. This one is momentous, as podcasting goes: It marks our 150th podcast and third anniversary! For this special show, my cohost (and fellow Law.com blogger) J. Craig Williams and I revisit some highlights from the past three years and welcome two special return guests, Eugene Volokh, professor at UCLA School of Law and founder of the blog The Volokh Conspiracy, and lawyer/musician/humorist Larry Savell, founder of LawTunes and LawHumor, who discusses his new album, "The Lawtunes: Live At Blackacre," and introduces his new song composed and recorded especially for Lawyer2Lawyer. You can listen to or download the show from this LegalTalkNetwork page.
