BigLaw Poaches on Small Fry at the Supreme Court
Over at my other roost at My Shingle, I've blogged about today's Legal Times article on Law.com by Tony Mauro, "Will Defense Lawyers Accept Help on High Court Criminal Cases?" Mauro's article reports on the concern by BigLaw attorneys affiliated with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) regarding the purported lack of quality representation provided by solo and small firm attorneys in representing their attorneys before the United States Supreme Court. As I see the issue in my post, this newfound concern by BigLaw attorneys has nothing to with protecting defendants' rights and everything to do with an effort to poach criminal cases. Take a look at my post and let me know whether you agree.
