Lawyers Do the Darndest Things

Is a full moon shining over the courthouse this week? What else might account for this spate of misbehavior within the legal profession:

• Illinois: Lawyer takes his fees in booze and Vicodin
• Connecticut: As convicted child molester pleads for return of his law license, he acknowledges additional molestations
• Ohio: Pregnant lawyer admits to faking her own kidnapping
• California: Hollywood lawyer admits to enslaving his housemaid
• California: Retired lawyer sentenced to home detention for serving as hired plaintiff
• New Jersey: Judge steps down, but denies coming to court drunk
• Tennessee: Chancellor rules public has no right to hear tape containing judge's "graphic fantasies"
• Florida: Abuse expert witness charged with abuse and witness tampering
• Nevada: Las Vegas judge denies mistreating staff and sleeping during trials
