Poll to Watch: Law Profs' Favorite TV Show
At PrawfsBlawg (which hurts a little to type), Eric Johnson has begun accepting "nominations" for a poll to be administered to law professors, which will -- "scientifically," he says -- determine their all-time favorite television show.
It seems there are no restrictions; it's a free-for-all to suggest the choices to be presented to poll respondents in the comments. So far, the pickings are slim, and, I hope, largely facetious:
The Wire -- of course ...

It's going to be hard to get a broad enough set of finalists, considering the diversity of interests among law school faculty. I had a crim law professor who would most certainly endorse "Jail" as his favorite program, in light of his firmly held opinion that every law student should be incarcerated as a character-building exercise. Whereas I have no trouble imagining my bankruptcy prof (are adjuncts eligible to vote?) sitting in front of the tube with a six-pack of tall boys watching "Mobile Home Disaster." And not for its hope-and-faith-in-mankind-renewing properties.
We'll be sure to check back in with PrawfsBlawg for the results, but if you have thoughts, please feel free to share them in comments here as well as there.
