California Knife Law Question? Ask Dokumoto
Do you want to make sure you are a "law-abiding, knife-carrying" citizen of California? You could peruse the entire California Penal Code and applicable local ordinances. Or, alternatively, you could watch the 47 videos uploaded to YouTube over the past month or so by someone named "Dokumoto."
Yes, you read that right. Forty-seven videos about the various laws affecting the legality of carrying certain kinds of knives in the Golden State. Not just any videos. Videos starring animated avatars who speak in computerized voices. Repeating Dokumoto's caveat that he or she is not a lawyer (which doesn't preclude him/her from opining that most cops "are jerks"), I present the introductory overview video, in all its glory:
